As Samara neared the group, one of the guys caught her attention by raising his hand.

“Hey, can you give us some snack thingies to go with our beers?” he asked in a slightly confused tone. A little tipsy.

“Snack thingies?” Samara repeated the word with a confused expression on her face. She had never heard anything on the menu referred to as “snack thingies.”

“Yeah, those twisty things with the salt?”

“Oh! You mean pretzels?”

“Yeah! Can we get some of those?” His eyes were wide with excitement.

“Sure.” Samara went back behind the counter and filled a bowl with pretzels.

“Here you go.” She smiled as she set the bowl on the table in front of the man. His friends were still singing.

“Thank you, pretty lady.”

Samara laughed softly. “You’re welcome.”

One of the girls heard him and laughed at her friend, throwing a pretzel at him. They all seemed a bit buzzed, but they were harmless.
