News and Updates!
December 16, 2008
After careful consideration, weeks of thinking, and talking to fellow authors and readers, I have decided to cut Dies Irae into four parts and release them separately to make them more affordable. I will still keep the larger versions available (though they might not be able to be sold amazon) for those who want a bigger read, especially considering that it's actually cheaper in the longrun to buy the larger books for 24 bucks then spend (my guesstimation) 13 dollars for four small books, but I know I'd be willing to spend the 13 before the 24, and buy the whole set AS I can afford it rather than fork over so much money at once, so that's why I'm doing it this way.
So...coming soon: Cheaper (and smaller) versions of "Dies Irae." They will be known as Books One through Four and each with have their own spiffy subtitle. I hope these new releases will be available sometime February as I still have some editing to do on the last two books.
Merry Christmas!

Book sales are down...*sad* and so it's time for me to be really annoying and act like a really determined salesperson:
COME ON, PEOPLE! You know you want to read about vampires and dragons and romance and action and blood and gore! (Seriously, though, if you don't like the blood and gore part, just stick with Dies Irae). BOOKS MAKE GREAT PRESENTS :-D Your friends and family will love you if you get them a book they'll reallye enjoy, and with all the hype about Twilight, you know you know someone who's into vampires! Why not get the more mature folks something to get their blood flowing by getting them Dead Seed? Or how about letting them read about a guy who has been called a cross between Mr. Twilight himself, Edward Cullen, and Sephiroth (that silver-haired guy with the big sword in FFVII?)? If this is their perfect fantasy-type guy, get them Dies Irae. It has everything! Romance, action, adventure, comedy, even a splash of horror.
Um, anyway. I updated my blog.
November 11, 2008
It's Dies Irae's turn...
Starting November 15th at midnight and ending midnight the 22nd, Dies Irae (day of wrath) will be a dollar to download. Please, help me spread the word by letting your friends know!
I'm also waiting on a fantasy book reviewer to give me his opinion of Dies Irae, but he has quite a few books ahead of me so it's going to be a while.
November 1, 2008
Wow, it's November already. It doesn't feel like it does it? How was everyone's Halloween?
ANYWAY, just letting everyone know that Dollar Deal is now over, but you can still get Dead Seed for cheap because the download price is now only 3.99. That's all the time; this price will not expire. Also, the print and hardcover price has been lowered as well.
Well, I don't know how much updating I'll be doing in the coming weeks. The Holidays are coming up so I imagine we're all going to be really busy. Have fun, and be safe!

Want to try out my horror novel, "Dead Seed," for only a buck? Download it here. That's the whole book, people--not a sample.
This special Dollar Deal will last until Halloween of this year. It goes back to its regular download price at mignight on November 1st.
September 12, 2008
Sinister Landscapes has been a huge success so far. Shortly after its release, we did an "order day" where we asked people to order the book on one day between a certain time, and in doing so, we managed to knock even Stephen King himself down in the best selling anthologies on amazon. We've received 4 reviews so far on amazon, all positive, and have several more reviewers reading our little horror book.
I'm considering doing another Dollar Week, only instead of it being a WEEK, I'm going to run it for a whole month. When I do Dollar Weeks (or months), I make "Dead Seed" available to download for only a dollar. So, keep checking back for updates; I'll have a definite answer by Monday (the 14th).

Hello again.
Updates are getting slow again, but I don't like updating without actually updating.
Small news for now:
My short horror story, "My Elf" will be featured in the 2008 Sinister Landscapes Anthology, presented to you by horror author, Alan Draven. That will be available Halloween of this year. I will post links to purchase as soon as I have the information.
I am also a 2008 Lady of Horror (LoH), which is an anthology that will feature 6-10 pictures of us ladies (there's 12 of us), two short stories by each author, and an in-depth bio. There's also talk of a calendar, but I'll have to get back to you on that. The Ladies of Horror is the brainchild of horror and fantasy author, Jennifer L. Miller. We also have a Gentlemen version of the anthology, so keep checking back for updates; this is one project you're not going to want to miss.
Oh, I plan on updating VAMPIRES! as soon as I get my short stories and pictures finished for the LoH. I actually have deadlines now, so I have priorities.
Until next time,
R.

I don't do April Fools. Call me dull and boring, but I just don't. So anything said here is totally true. I know you don't believe me by the way :-P
However, you will see that I'm not kidding in only a day or two, so I'm going to go ahead and announce it anyway: I am running another Dollar Week sale. You can either download "Dead Seed" for ONE DOLLAR (1.00), OR you can get ONE DOLLAR (1.00) OFF of a print and/or hardcover copy. Order your copy now!
The reason I'm doing this is 1) to boost sales, and 2) because the last Dollar Week was majorly successful. I'm sure this one will be, too--just as soon as people realize it's not a joke. I really picked a bad time to announce this.
Oh, I'm also writing a new story that any and all are welcome to read. But keep in mind, this is a test run. I don't know if I'm going to publish it, or even finish it (you hear that a lot from me with the free stories, huh?). The good news is, the plot is all ready sorted out because it's based off true events. Therefore, the only reason it WON'T be finished is if I decide to slack off. Anyway, you can read that at my LiveJournal. YOU HAVE TO ADD ME in order to read the story because I have it locked to help avoid trolls and plagiarists. So, if you don't have a LJ account, sign up (it's free, no worries) and add me. Once YOU add ME, *I* will add YOU, and THEN you will be able to read the story.
I also have another announcement to make, but since this one is so long, I'm going to save it for a few days ;-) So check back soon!

I posted a short update on Vampires! so check it out if you're interested :-)
March 4, 2008
Whew, what a weird couple of weeks it's been. Last Friday, at 5 in the morning, my family got a phone call from my Grandma saying my uncle had been in a really bad car wreck, along with three others, and they weren't sure if he was going to make it.
We started a prayer chain (from several different Religions), and focused on positive thinking (well, most of us anyway), and by the next day, my uncle was conscious and doing a lot better. He's going to be fine; he's just going to need a lot of healing time.
The other guys in the accident are all okay, or going to be okay, too. Two of them have already been released from the hospital and have gone home.
I've seen the crash site and the car--it's a miracle these guys are still alive. They were all very lucky and I am overwhelmed with this feeling that I can't really describe, I'm just so thankful for this miracle and that I still have my uncle, and, of course, I'm happy for the other families involved that they didn't lose their brother/child/father/nephew/uncle.
As for writing news, I have some, but I can't say anything right now, so check back for updates!

I put together two new videos tonight. Nothing extreme and "awe" worthy because I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to movie-making, BUT I'm proud of my mediocre job, hehe.
Anyway, one is a teaser for "Dead Seed," only a little over a minute long so it doesn't drag out like the other one.
The second one is a collection of fan art I've received over the last couple of years for "Vampires Don't Exist" (Dead Seed).
These videos can be seen at Myspace and LuluTV.
February 04, 2008
Please check out the new page I did in support of actor, Robert Pattinson.
I'm a HUGE "Twilight" fan and was thrilled when I heard he's been cast as Edward Cullen.
There's not a link to Robert's page anywhere except for the one above because I'm unable to edit the links on the left for some reason and I'm too computer illerate to figure it out on my own so my dad's going to have to do that.
As for book news, there really isn't any. I've been sick with a cough for like six weeks and now have bruised ribs, torn cartilage and a lame ligament from it, so I've been pretty lazy lately, trying to get better--which is hard to do when you have to be a cashier four days a week. However, I am proud to say that "Dies Irae's" sequel--which I have not given a name yet--is coming along nicely (when I get to work on it) so it will probably be released pretty quickly after the first one.
So far, "Dies Irae" is set to be released in the summer of '08 by Lulu. However the date has changed so much that I wouldn't take it as a promise if I were you :P

It's that time again: Happy New Year!
So far, it's been kind of a downer for me. I lost my 14 year old friend, who is also a cat, on New Years Eve. She had kidney failure and a bunch of other things wrong with her and couldn't even hold her head up anymore so I chose to let her go. It's been hard without her, but each day gets a little easier. She was an amazing cat, very unique compared to other cats I know. And she's been a part of my life since I was 10 years old. It sucks, but it's a part of life, right?
I've also been sick for three weeks, coughing mostly. I finally caved and went to the doctor today. I have an upper respiratory infection and the doc thinks I tore cartilage near my rib or something because I have this pain in my chest and back. He presecribed me some meds and they cost me over 70 bucks. For two prescriptions. What a crock. It put a dip in my savings, that's for sure and it wasn't even built back up from the 200 I had to spend on my cat. Life, eh?
Book news: Dead Seed is doing awesome. I've sold several copies since the re-release and I expect the number to keep rising. I can't wait for it be more out in the public and spread around like the bad colds and flu of the season. All of those who ordered a copy, thank you. You're helping me out immensely.
If anyone is interested in me signing your copy of "Dead Seed" just send me an email (rvance@rvances.com) with 'book signing' in the subject line. I don't charge to autograph, but you will have to pay for shipping because, well...I'm not rich, ha. Yet. <.<
Well that's all for now. I hope everyone's New Year was amazing and continues to be :-)
'Til next time,
R. Vance

Update: "Dies Irae" page has been updated. Complete with a new chapter.
Wow. It's been two days and I'm still not finished making the necessary changes to the website. I'm almost finished, though, so I decided to update the news now.
Check EVERYTHING. There's new stuff everywhere, including a new parody story, "Vampires! (and other demons...but we like the vampires more)." Long title. I know. But it's a parody, so it's cool. You may have already read this story if you keep up with Quizilla, but that site is getting on my nerves with all the problems it has so I won't be updating there anymore. All Vampires! updates will occur here and only here.
What's left? I'm going to add some stuff to the "Dies Irae" section (in stories), so check that later tonight or tomorrow. I think that's all that's left to do.

"Dead Seed," the revamped "Vampires Don't Exist," is finished and is now available to download or order in paperback and hardcover. Go to the old link to find it until I post the new one (tomorrow).
Whole site soon to be updated. Check back later, mkay?

October 08, 2007
Hello everyone (does anyone even come here? Ha)
I have finished the first round of editing and second round of spell checking "Dies Irae." Right now it's on my editors desk, waiting to be proofread by her. She's taking her time so I'm going to have to get onto her about that (ha).
I will not be publishing this book right away with Lulu. Instead, I'm going to pursue a traditional publisher. If everyone I submit to foolishly rejects this story, then I will publish it on Lulu. Please be patient (you've waited this long, I'm sure a few more months won't kill you).
Oh! My short story, "The Cutter" was recently published in the latest issue of "Twisted Dreams" magazine, so check that out. This edition is a special Halloween edition with over 100 pages filled with wonderful stories, gothic art, band reviews and interviews. I highly recommend this magazine.
And finally, I've saved the biggest news for last:
I am rewriting "Vampires Don't Exist."
After Dollar Week, I was flipping through my own copy of VDE and I cannot lie: I was appalled with my own writing. I found so many mistakes and even a few plot holes. I've grown in my writing over the last two years (since VDE was published) and would like to do it right this time.
The revamped version so far has: a new beginning, new scenes, and much better grammar. I'm working out the plot so it makes more sense as well as changing and polishing some of the rules of being a vampire. I've also cut out a lot of those annoying adverbs and polished the sex scenes a bit.
Currently, I am halfway through the rewrite.
So keep your old copies! Once they go out of print, they could be worth a lot of money to you when I'm famous (ha).
I will be lowering both, the price of the current download available and the print price, so if anyone wants to read the "bad" version in order to compare the two when the second edition is released, it won't be so expensive.
Oh, and I am also a drooling fangirl of the Twilight series. Ha.

January 31, 2007
Happy New Year! I know, I'm late. I actually have news this time, isn't it wonderful? Here's what's new:
--I have updated several sections of this website, so feel free to browse. One change includes an addition. I have posted a sample of the short story I'm writing called, "Debt Repaid." It's in the fantasy section, so go check it out!
--The second trailer for my book, "Dies Irae (Day of Wrath)" is finally finished! It's not the best quality because we're on a low budget, but I hope you enjoy it. Click here to watch it! (and please leave comments and/or rate the video--that would help me out a LOT).
--Speaking of "Dies Irae" (if you can't pronounce it, just call it Day of Wrath), I have added a new introductory poem (the old one was crap) along with a very short summary. I plan on adding a sample chapter one of these days, probably after I finish editing it. Just go here to check everything out.
--It's a little late, but I released a calendar of poems for the year 2007. The poems are original (my own) and set on beautiful landscape backgrounds. You can purchase the calendar here. Take advantage of the new low price--I've taken it down as far as I can go without being in the hole.
--"Vampires Don't Exist" was reviewed by Ash Arceneaux.
"I honestly believe Ms. Vance has a great future in horror writing." Read the whole thing here.
--And finally, "Dies Irae" has a myspace. Feel free to add it to your friends to receive news via bulletins!
August 21, 2006
It's kind of sad that I don't update the news very often, but I'm sure you all would get tired of me repeating myself on a weekly basis.
So here's the deal, I'm still hard at work on "Dies Irae." I'm about two-thirds of the way finished with the first draft, then comes editing, proofing, and more editing and proofing :-P.
The trailer is coming along so very slowly now that my helpers have had to start school again. We're in the process of taking pictures to use as backgrounds for the screens. Once the pictures are finished, we should be able to progress faster.
I was asked to join a writing community where my poems have been displayed, so go check out my page! It's not much since it just has three poems so far, but I will be submitting more soon. Here's my page and here is The Writing Forum's main page
June 12, 2006
The book trailers aren't coming along as quickly as I thought. I'm having some trouble finding the right songs to go perfectly and flow with the words. It's a lot harder to make a book trailer than an anime music video >.<
I still plan on having them done, but I have no idea how long it's going to take.
I'm still working on "Dies Irae" and it's flowing nicely so far. I'm excited about it. I only hope everyone gets as excited as I would like them to be because this book is 'my baby'. It's the first one I started writing and my whole inspiration to be a writer, lol.
In addition to "Dies Irae", I also have three other projects directly to follow and then several more after those. One of them is "Blooded Angel", which you can find a sample of the first, unedited chapter in the horror section.
The second is a new idea, which was inspired from a dream I had a few nights ago. I'm really excited about this one too! I can't tell you much about it now right now because I haven't worked out very many details yet, but I can tell you it will be exciting and original. If I can't find a title I like better, this book will be called, "The Chamber".
The third will be published under a different name because it's a different style of writing. This book will be a teen, self-help type of book. I won't go into much detail, I'm trying to keep it on the DL until I get all of it written. But I was inspired to write it during a hard time I was having. I want it to be helpful to others who may have been in my situation or might still be. The title at this time is also going to be confidential until I get permission from a few people to use it. Just keep checking back to find out more about it.
NEW STORY TO BE READ NOW!
Well, I hope you're excited about my new work! If you just can't wait to read any new work from me, check the fantasy section of the stories. As a treat to all of you, I am going to post a piece from a new story there, hopefully every two weeks to one month, depending on how quickly I can write it. It's called "Angel of Mine". This one has some poetic dialogue, which is a new style for me, so let me know what you think in the forum!
Well, take care everyone! And as always, thanks for the support!
Reyanna
May 15, 2006
We decided to cut the trailer in half and make two separate videos because it's taking longer than expected (it just isn't perfect). The first half is now available for viewing! The second trailer will be released soon, so keep checking back!
May 8th, 2006
I just got back from a small vacation (congratulations to my cousin, Jeremy, for graduating college) and I am ready to get back to work. I felt guilty for taking half a week off. It feels good to be behind the screen and at the keys again.
I added chapter two to the story "Blooded Angel" so check that out and let me know what you think by leaving comments in the forum.
The sweepstakes is going well so far. I have received many entries. Thanks to everyone who has entered!
April 28th, 2006
Hello! The amazon problem is officially fixed! You can now order "Vampires Don't Exist" like normal. The picture and fan art section was down for a little while. The problem has been fixed, thanks to "Dad". I'm still going through things to make sure I've put up the pictures that were there before. I even found some ones that had been misplaced and never shown, which is sad because they're really good. So check out the fan art and photo gallery. I've also added a new poem called "Once Upon a Time", so be sure and check that out.
Still working on the music video! We might cut it in half and release two because the file is getting pretty big.
Well, as always, have a look around and start conversations on the forum!
April 20th, 2006
The amazon issue is still being worked on. They're having trouble identifying the problem. We hope to have the issue resolved soon. Please be patient. You can still order a copy of "Vampires Don't Exist" from lulu.com
April 19th, 2006
I am currently working on a special teaser for "Dies Irae" with my sister. She's helping me put together a music video. We're treating it as a movie trailer (No- it's not a movie...yet, hehe) so it's going to be exciting. Look for that in the next few weeks because it's going to be good! Spine chilling, even! Or at least, I hope so.
"Vampires Don't Exist" sample chapters have been updated and the first chapter for "Blooded Angel" has been added to the horror section. Blooded Angel is a project that is currently on hold until "Dies Irae" is finished, so that will not be updated very often but I'm excited about it so I thought I would share the first chapter to give an idea of what's to come in (hopefully) 2007.
As soon as "Dies Irae" has more to it, I will add some of its chapters as well. You can read a poem and quotes from the book here.

April 11th, 2006
Well since it's been a few months, I decided it's about time I updated my webpage. I apologize for not being on top of things lately. I was in a depression that wouldn't seem to go away. I was having a real hard time in my life and found it difficult to concentrate. But I'm happy to inform everyone that the depression is breaking and I'm excited to write again.
"Dies Irae" is progressing very nicely at the moment. I can't get the story out of my head. I write whenever I can, and I have a bunch of new ideas to make it perfect.
I'm going to be updating the webpage in many, many areas over the next couple of weeks and we are putting together a sweepstakes that will be available for entry soon. I'll explain more on that later, so keep visiting and keep your eyes peeled for new additions!
Thanks for understanding and thanks for all the support and messages!

February 8th, 2006
Hello everyone! I added some more photos in the photo gallery and *fanart sections so feel free to go look around.
Things are still slow with "Dies Irae (Day of Wrath)" but I'm starting to come out of my writer's block so hopefully I will be able to post those sample chapters soon. I have the prologue written and most of the first chapter, I just have to go over them and make sure everything is flowing and proof it and then I'll probably post the prologue on here.
Well that's about it. Thanks to everyone for their support and messages!
* If you're interested in submitting fanart, please read the guidelines and then send the picture to fallenengel84@yahoo.com with "Fan art" in the subject.
January 25, 2006
Happy (late) New Year everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to update this webpage. I'm so absent minded at times :-P
I'm currently working on Dies Irae (Day of Wrath). I will be posting some sample chapters for that as soon as I get everything typed out and edited. Have you all looked at the poems yet? I'm going to be putting together a collection of poems as well, sometime in the near future.
From recent messages from fans, I have discovered that not very many bookstores are as generous as others. A lot of the bookstores do not want to special order a book for someone with an ISBN because they do not profit from it. Which is really silly, if you ask me because if more places would be willing to do that, it would bring in more traffic into their stores and they might make a book sale at the same time. Hmm, oh well.
Well that's all for now. I hope to update soon with better news! Haha.
Love,
Reyanna
December 7, 2005
Hello everyone! "Vampires Don't Exist" is available to everyone anywhere. This means anyone in the world can order the book. I asked lulu.com and they said they will ship anywhere. You can also take the *ISBN into your local, major bookstore and have them special order it for you. Most places will. If not, order from lulu.com.
"Dies Irae: Day of Wrath" is currently in the making. I'm really excited about this one, not only because it was my first project ever, but I just love the storyline. This one is romance/fantasy/action.
I'm also working on a vampire novel (Blooded Angel: Dementia), but I'm lacking inspiration on that one right now so I'm taking a break and working on Dies Irae. Either way, I will have another novel out sometime next year.
Thanks again to everyone for their support.
* The ISBN is a unique number given to a book so that it can be identified and special ordered. The ISBN for "Vampires Don't Exist" is: 1-4116-5826-4
November 14, 2005
The *ISBN is now active! Or it is according to amazon.com. So write down the number, take it to your local bookstore and have them order it for you! If you take it to the bookstore to order, you more than likely will not have to pay shipping costs. I say "more than likely" because that's how it is here, but I don't know if everyone does it that way, but I'm sure they do.
*ISBN: 1-4116-5826-4
November 7th, 2005
Vampires Don't Exist is officially published. You can order it at lulu.com now, or you can wait for the ISBN to go into effect (which will be in approximately two weeks from today). You will be able to take the number into most local bookstores and they will order it for you. Once the book arrives, they call you and you can come pick it up, paying only the list price (no shipping). Pretty simple, don't you think? So, write down the following number and check with the bookstores in your area to see if it's available yet. ISBN: 1-4116-5826-4
You should be able to order it from places like Waldens, Borders and Books-A-Million. If you order Vampires Don't Exist, be sure to leave your review on lulu.com or amazon.com! If you can't order it at this time, you can still leave a review based on what you've read at Quizilla. Thanks to all for your support!!!

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has fun, but remember to be safe!
Today is my cousin's son's birthday, he is one year old, so Happy Birthday Brandon!
Okay, onto business, hehe. Vampires Don't Exist, has, sadly, been pushed back a little. I had originally hoped, and planned, to have it available to buy on Halloween, but due to some proofing mistakes I found, I'm going to have to say that early to mid November will be the release date. I have added some new questions and answers to the FAQ section, about VDE, so please go there to read them. Also, I have a poll up at my site on quizilla, regarding VDE, so, if you have some time, please take it (it only takes a few minutes to read and vote) if you haven't already.
In addition to the poll, my new story, "A Slayer of His Own Kind" is doing wonderfully and that's also at quizilla (scroll down until you see it), so if you have a desire to read (if you aren't already), you can go there and read it and let me know what you think of it.
I think that's all for now. I'm sorry I haven't been updating as I should, I've just been really busy, trying to get this book to you guys and keep up with the other story! Thanks for reading and take care, everyone!

September 8th, 2005
Hello everyone! It's been a while, right? At least I have a feasible excuse this time, haha. Finally, we are all settled into our new house, the internet is connected and things are getting back to normal.
I have made a lot of changes to the site and more to come, so check around and see what I'm talking about. I will be adding a photo gallery soon and in the forum, there will be a place for you guys to post your own short works to let others enjoy. The stories will soon be updated as well, as soon as I can sit down with my dad and tell him what I want to add.
Of Darkness and Light news- I have talked with John, Mike, and Jade about this and they all want to continue on the story and say they will. John is next in line to post and he said he just needs a little more time and he'll figure out something out when school and work aren't taking all of his free time. There is another installment that will be posted shortly so you all can read that while you wait for even more.
I want to give a special thanks to the members, Talija and Verifyme on the forum (in no particular order) for sticking around and supporting us even when we take forever to update. So, thanks you guys!
That's all for now, I guess. If I think of anything else, I guess I'll update again.
Take care, everyone!

The first issue of "Twisted Dreams" magazine is available to order online at their website. I am moving tomorrow. I don't know how long I will be without internet at this time, but it could be a while. Updates will be put on hold until I am settled into the new house with internet. Take care, everyone!

Great news! One of my poems, "Battle of the Angels" was accepted to be published in the November "Twisted Dreams" magazine. It's a new goth magazine and the first issue will be available to buy in July. My poem, and hopefully more, will be available in the second issue, which is out in November. Hopefully details will be given on how to purchase the magazine soon. I will let you all know as soon as I do :-) For more info on the magazine, click the link above and check it out.

Hey everyone! Go out and buy Andrea's book "The Two" if you haven't already! I am so thankful for her. She really helps me out and is so nice about everything.
Anyway, I thought I would let everyone know that, since it's taking so much longer to get started, I have posted VDE on fictionpress.com. I just want you guys to be able to read it for now. I will probably take it down right before we move though. Oh, and I have also posted a few of my poems there if you're interested.

I am back home from a week of house hunting with the family. I came home to one more rejection letter and started to become annoyed. I felt like I should have gotten something by now. But thanks to a good friend, Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc, I'm back to feeling good and confident about getting published.
I'm forgetting an agent for now and going straight to the publishers thanks to Andy's advice. I will let you all know what's going on as I get the information.
I have updated the character bios for Of Darkness and Light, so feel free to go read those. I'm trying to get the others back into writing it, but I don't want to be pushy with them because that can cause problems, lol. Anyway, I apologize for the delay.

I've received a few more rejection letters; things aren't looking so great as far as publishing goes right now, but I'm not giving up. There are other options if an agent doesn't work.
I'm sorry to everyone that Of Darkness and Light hasn't been updated recently. Some of the other authors are very busy and haven't had a chance to write anymore. As soon as they do, though, I'll post it ASAP.
I'm also working on the re-write of Dies Irae along with the newest vampire novel. As soon as I get enough of both of those written, I will post them on here as well.
Well, this news update hasn't been that great and, for that, I apologize. I hope the next news updates will be happier :-) Thanks for reading!

Hello everyone, are you out there? Well, still no agent. I just sent the new batch of letters out last week, got two rejections back right away, but there's still about nine that I'm waiting to hear from so keep your fingers crossed.
Also, I have something important to tell you all. I am getting ready to move out of state (sometime in July/August) so I'm going to be very busy for the next couple of months, so some of the stories on here will be put on hold. Just check back here every now and then because I do have several more story ideas, some of which I may post on quizilla, depends on how well I like them, and I will be finishing Dies Irae and working on a new vampire novel.
Well, I guess that's all for now. I'll keep you all updated on here.

Thanks to everyone who sent me happy birthday wishes! You all know who are you! You rock!

- Hey everyone, I hope you all haven't given up on me :-) I am back from my vacation. I had a blast, but now it's back to work. So far, I have gotten five rejection letters from the agents that I sent queries to. I am getting ready to send out a new batch this week. They will probably be sent out tomorrow (Tuesday, May 17, 2005).
- I have re-opened VDE on quizilla because I decided it wasn't fair to keep it from the honest people. I made it clear that the story is legally copyrighted and so, if anyone tries to take it and take credit for it, they won't get far *smirk*
- I am going to be taking the sample chapters of Dies Irae off this website because I am re-writing the whole thing. I wasn't happy with how it turned out. The re-write is going much better, much more smoothly. Once I have enough of the story on the computer (it's all hand written in a notebook right now), I will post a few chapters of it for you all to read.
- Of Darkness and Light is going a little slow right now because of school for the other authors and me being on vacation, but Mike and I hope to have new segments written soon. They're being let out for summer vacation in a little over a week, so, hopefully, we can get back on track.
- Well, it's back to work for now.
Love,
Reyanna

Well I guess I lied. THIS will be my last NEWS update! I got some interesting fan art from a guy. He's really good and I put a link up to his gallery on elfwood, so check it out!
March 30, 2005
Hey everyone! This will be the last NEWS update from me for a while because I am going on a month long vacation. I leave this Friday (April 1) evening and I will be back sometime between April 30th and May 7th. So, the site will be entirely up to my dad to keep going because I won't have access to it where I will be. However, I will still be able to post on the forum, so I'll keep you all updated as much as I can.
Rise and Fall of Grace is now in the forum as well. I just finished posting it today. Now you can read it all without worrying if quizilla is going to stop working on you ;-). I also put up a few polls in the forum so check them out and vote.
Since the VDE manuscript is complete, I have sent out query letters to agents. I hope to get the ball rolling soon and get VDE out there for sale. I will continue to update you all as best I can.
The RP that my friends and I are doing (Of Darkness and Light) is coming along GREAT so when I return from vacation, I will be posting that story for you all to read. I think you guys will like it. It has vampires, fallens, and lykins and plenty of other creatures.
That's all for now...take care everyone!
March 21, 2005
The manuscript is complete! Woo! I still have to write up the synopsis, but that won't take long. Query letters should be able to be sent out sometime next week, as long as all goes well. I am also going on a month long vacation on the first of April, so any updates made to the site will be done by my dad. I'll try to have all the character bios up before I leave and maybe even a teaser from Of Darkness and Light. Or hey, I just might be nice and post everything we've written so far ;) So far, the authors are myself, John O'Brien (some of you know him as NumbAngel), and Mike (aka EdensDesire). We have a few other potential authors, my sister, Michelle, and Mike's cousin, Jade, but they're a little shy, so we'll see how it all works out.
I have updated the character bios as well so check them out.
March 9, 2005
Wow, it's been a while. Sorry about that y'all. I've been really busy editing and trying to keep up with some other things. I have updated the character bios so go check them out and, hopefully, soon, the stories will be updated. Also, John and I are, along with a few others, are working on another story that we may post on here for y'all to read. No promises, but you're welcome to check back later anyway. Also, we will be moving Rise and Fall of Grace here as well. I'm still looking for an agent. I have narrowed it down to a few at the moment, and I will keep you all updated as I get the information. Take care everyone!

The Guestbook was having some issues in which it kept showing two of the same posts (double posting) and two posting boxes. So my dad got rid of that and put in a discussion board instead. Guests will have to sign up to visit, that's the only down side. No charge though, so feel free to sign up and leave a message. Those bio's will be out by Monday or sooner. Thanks to everyone who visits!

Coming Soon! Character biographies in the 'Stories' section!
February 8, 2005
Well quizilla is apparently having some issues. I have been trying to post the next installment of 'The Rise and Fall of Grace' all day but it keeps going to the 'cannot display' page. I'm trying to get it on there for you all, but it may take a while longer. Hopefully number 11 will be up by tomorrow, just keeping checking back. Also, to anyone who wants to know if RaFoG will be posted here, the answer is, yes, it will be, but not until it is finished on quizilla.
February 6, 2005
Nothing much new as of yet. I am trying to get finished with the real ending of 'Vampires Don't Exist' and putting it into book form instead of "Quizilla"©. Also, I'm still looking for the perfect publishing companies. I will be sending out letters as soon as the manuscript is complete. I'll update as I get the information myself.
February 5, 2005
Web page is up and running. Thanks Dad!
